Re-installing windows 7 on new SSD with no backup or disc

    Hi,

My laptop recently crashed big time!
Won't boot at all, hdd seems to have died.

I am therefore looking at replacing it with a new ssd, but how will I be able to install windows 7 once I get this new ssd?
I don't have any backups or discs to use, only my win 7 product key on the underside of the laptop.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Follow the steps detailed here - it contains a link to download the ISO so you can create your own installation DVD.

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Once installed, activate the installation using the product key printed on the COA sticker stuck underneath the laptop.

    Regards,
    Golden

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.
    startup repair disc-create

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?
