No BootMGR at startup
Hello everybody,
I installed Win 7 Pro 64 bits for my computer, and Win 7 Home Premium 32 bits for my dad's one.
On this last one (old P4, LGA 775, P965 Express), I have a systematic issue at startup:
The system won't boot, unless the original Win 7 DVD is in the tray and the bios set up for DVD boot first.
What is odd, is that:
- the data on disc is not read (I don't touch anything at the message "click Enter to start from DVD Rom") => the disc is spinning but I know I'm actually booting from the HD
- The disc can be removed once logged in
I tried to use the repair function on the DVD to check the boot sector with no luck...
I didn't install yet all the MB (Chipset, Sata...) drivers... 'cause I thought such an old hardware would be allready included in the Win 7 drivers. Could it be this problem ?
Any help would be great.
