Tutorial quick reference list for Installing Windows 7

I bought a new hard drive. Didn't need it, but it kept screaming at me! BUY ME! BUY ME! Anyway, now that I have this new SATA HDD I want to put my Windows 7 on it. I'm looking for suggestions. When I first installed 7 back when it was released, I probably did an over kill but I installed it on a small HDD for a backup then cloned it to what I'm using now. I also used Acronis TI 11 to make another copy and Macrium Reflect to make another... My question is this. What would be the best way to prepare my new HDD and get Windows 7 on it?

Most likely too late, but...

After initializing and formatting, partition as desired.
I can recommend partition sizes If you give some more info and what you plan on using it for.
If your happy with how Win7 is running now, the easiest way is to Clone it.
If you want an earlier, fresher, version (if I understand your backup strategy) Clone your original installation on the small HD.

You can use any backup, but will need to do a fresh install on the new HD then run your restore of the backup.
