How to Use Windows Anytime Upgrade with Lenovo Instant reset.

    Hey,
I have bought a Lenovo G580 with Windows Home Premium and now I wanted to upgrade to the Ultimate edition. I have also bought an upgrade key. Everything goes nice until it demands me to Activate the system restore function. Now I try to access the system restore, but the Lenovo Instant Reset doesnt allow me.
I also wanted to install the English Language Pack from my windows 7 (Ultimate) dvd.
Can anyone guide me to upgrade and install the language pack.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi there .... Instant Reset does not allow you to make restore points ... The only way possible is to Uninstall it .... But if you do so , your computer will be forced to reset to its initial state when Instant Reset was first Installed ... Meaning any changes since when you Installed Instant Reset will be lost ... That includes all software every thing which you have Installed .... So be very careful what you do .... Read the Instructions for Instant Reset .... They will be under programs /Lenovo

Language packs are done through windows update, once you have Ultimate installed.

Are you using Anytime Upgrade through the control panel or All Programs on the start menu ?

Don`t understand why you`re having these problems.

You`re right there is no difference, just asking if that`s how you`re going about it.

The problem could be inferior Factory Preinstalled Win7 with all of the bloatware and duplicate utiltiies which have better versions built into Win7. These throttle Win7 from its native performance and can cause problems.

That's why most tech enthusiasts will not run such an install but instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything is provided in the blue link tutorial.

Immediately after running all rounds of Updates to completion and importing any drivers then still missing in Device Manager, save externally a Win7 backup image of Home Premium so you have the ability to revert to it if you decide you want to use the Ultimate upgrade elsewhere. Then run the Anytime Upgrade to unlock the few extra features, save a Win7 backup image of the finished install so you never have to do it again.
