Create the bootable USB manually .
Open Command Prompt with administrator privileges known as Elevated Command Prompt. To do this, click on type cmd in the Search programs and files box and then hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Or right-click on CMD under Programs(1) and choose Run as administrator . Type in the commands below . ( Press [ENTER] after every command )
Code:DISKPART LIST DISK SELECT DISK 1 CLEAN CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SELECT PARTITION 1 ACTIVE FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK ASSIGN EXIT EXITNote
1 is the number of the hard drive . Disk 0 is the first hard drive . Disk 1 is sometime the USB Flash Drive if only One hard drive is installed .
Assign command assigns a drive letter if you want to assign a letter yourself type in this command ASSIGN LETTER=[input letter here ] without the brackets
Once that is created just copy the contents to the USB drive . You could even extract the contents from 7zip or winrar
Ok good let us know if you need anymore help
Well I can finally say the computer is up and running Windows. I feel silly thinking that the ISO Image would need to be redownloaded, oh well. Thanks everyone for the help :)
I also suggested as my first step that you needed to redownload the ISO and burn to DVD again.
I stated clearly that the error is always a bad installer.
So skipping that step first given to you by Gary wasted all of that time.
I hope you stuck closely to the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get a perfect install. Have you installed all of your Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)? Which drivers are still missing in Device Manager?
