Change from XP to Windows 7 advice
I am in the process of collecting all the information that I need prior to installing Windows 7 Home 32 bit in the near future. My current XP system is using a Gigabyte Motherboard GA-MA78LM-S2 with Processer2.20 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 / 256 kilobyte primary memory cache / 512 kilobyte secondary / Bus Clock: 200 megahertz / BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F3 09/23/2009memory cache. and 2 GB memory. I hope that I have supplied enough relevant information here.
I have run the Windows 7 compatibility report and apart from some minor software incompatibility it passes all the requirements. I have read that some older motherboards could be problematic when using Windows 7.
I suppose that I would just like some reassurance that I will not have any problems with my proposal as I realise that my system specs are not exactly cutting edge, so to speak. I do not do any gaming, video rendering or the like. Also after I have this new OS installed could I have any problems adding another 2 GB of memory.
Any advice or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, Thank you Pedro.
