    Check memory size from installer.

Hello. I have an interesting question. Can I see the available system memory (RAM) from the Windows 7 installer? I want to be able to because I forget to check the memory from bios and so I can know what version to install 32 or 64 bits. I frequently make new installations on older notebooks and I don't know are they 2,3 or 4 gb of memory. I tried some commands like "mem" in command prompt (shift+F10) but they don't work.

Enter BIOS setup to see installed RAM.

If not there, boot memtest86 CD to see RAM details and test the RAM - Test with Memtest86+

You can also access the sticks and google PID or SN for specs.
