First check for all the Win XP drivers for your hardware on the manufacturer's web site.
If your Win XP CD, does not support your Sata Controller, you will need to load drivers to uses at F6. Load Sata Controller drivers with a floppy disk is the best way. SATA Drivers - Load in Windows XP Setup on Dual Boot OR SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD |

Note that, when using the generic XP install disk, the ONLY WAY to load the SATA controller driver is via F6 using a floppy disk. The install disk will not look anywhere else for the driver except the floppy drive.
The alternative is to "slipstream" the SATA driver onto a copy of the XP installer disk. Here are some instructions for that: How To: Slipstream your XP installation | Maximum PC |

I believe you have marked the thread as solved. If you have solved the issue then do share with us the resolution so other users can also benefit from it. Also, this error also occurs if you have selected RAID in bios as Windows setup would try to locate the RAID drivers and when it can't detect the same this blue screen occurs. This could also happen due to a faulty harddrive as well you can run the diagnostics on the harddrive by following the link below: http://dell.to/164mwx3 Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further. |

I don't try with any Dell Diagnostic tool. I solve my problem by changing bios setting from AHCI to IDE. I don't find this bios setting in my system's bios so plugged out my HDD and use another system on which i find those setting and getting success. |
