    Installation help


    Hi Is there any way i can install W7 OS on a seperate hdd from my laptop and fit it to boot up on another pc ??

    You should have no problems at all but you will need all drivers and software for the mobo handy to load either from the lappy or the new rig.

    Well if you have the license product key then use this download and then put in the key ! Look to installing to a usb thumb drive it's a bit more process but sounds like your only option?

    You can use USB hard drive to install from another pc.

    Your question is not clear. Are you asking if you can move the HD from one PC to another for the purpose of installing Win7?

    If so then it most likely will not start when returned to the target PC due to hardware changes. You can try and if it doesnt, move it back to install PC to SysPrep to move HD to another computer or use this method to Make Windows 7 bootable after motherboard swap - Windows 7 Help Forums.

    Thanks guys it's all fixed up now ,
    The laptop couldn't see the original 120Gig HDD for some unknown reason (i tested it with HD Tune Pro) and it came out fine.
    Anyway i have installed a spare 250 Gig HDD i had lying around now it's running fine
