can not install windows 7 os

    can not install windows 7 os


    I tried to install a new windows 7 with a new hard drive due to my old HDD was crash and when I put my cdrom I get this mgs. Booth failed, already change my bios set up to cd/dvd rom. already reformat the new hdd to ntfs and my bios already recognized the new HDD. I tried also different OS WIN XP but no avail I still get mgs. failed.

    After I switch on I saw the TOSHIBA set-up, press f2 to enter set-up, press f12 to booth menu. and after this my laptop try to booth on CD/DVD ROM and after the mgs. come along booth failed and after it will bring me to choose to booth menu window.

    pls help.I don't know what is my next move I'm just new to computer world. It would be good for me in step by step procedures. thanks.

    Try a USB flash drive (w / W7 on it) or a Live OS CD/DVD!


    Hi,

    To rule out the CD / DVD drive being faulty you could attempt to boot from a USB stick. In order to Boot from a USB stick you must first enter the BIOS and make the first boot device the USB stick (before entering the BIOS be sure to have the USB stick inserted - otherwise the BIOS may not present it as a boot option).

    Of course before you go to the lengths above you could try running a Live OS, such as Ubuntu.
