    Lost Administration privileges


    Lost Administration privileges and can’t get them back. I was trying to undo the SteelSeries Apex keyboard engine and was doing fine till I got to the Appdata folder and could not delete the “Roaming” file because it said I didn’t have Administration privileges. Also I somehow lost the Accessories In the start menu so can’t even get a command prompt. So I thought I’d do a Win7 no-reformat, nondestructive reinstall but that wouldn’t work either because I couldn’t uninstall SP1. I tried to buy another Win7 DVD but none available since Win8 is out.
    So can anyone offer any suggestions or point me in the right direction?

    Hello Droful, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You could still do a repair install if you like. The note box under step 4 in the tutorial below can help show you how to download a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium w/SP1 ISO file to be able to create an installation USB or DVD with.

This happens to me a lot. Today, again. I clicked to download a patch for a program I have on my computer. I want to put the patch IN the program it is designed for. But an anoying popup tells me I have no right to do this and I have to put it in my User folder. Why?
