    Runtime error (access violation)

    Hello,
I have a problem during the installion of a software (the software is Battery 4 by Native Instrument)
When the installation starts, this error occurs:

    Runtime error in setup script:

Line 438: access violation at address 74A715DA in module 'version.dll'. Read of address 00000004

So I cannot complete the installation.
How can I fix this error?

    Thanks

Hello and welcome MBMB mate try a sfc and chkdsk first see if the system is up to scratch and then if that comes back ok well I suppose you could scan the software disk for malware or just get back to the manufacturers re the problem it may be incompatible with Windows??

Get the Malwarebytes and when up and running set it to scan the D: drive with that disk in.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Disk Check

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer < watch out for the trial tick box untick it or it will annoy the heck out of you.
