If you leave it to them to activate it somehow, I think YOU are in the clear, though I'm not completely sure, as Windows installation is not supposed to be provided as a service without licensing it in any way. But there is a trial period for any Windows SKU, so....

If your clients already possess a valid Windows license and you just apply it - it is all OK.
    Well explained, Thanks :)

What rules are you referring to? You're not fully explaining what you want to know so it's hard to answer.

If you've built the PC then you're within the EULA to install and sell to the customer Builder's OEM which is then tied to that mobo. The accompanying COA sticker must be applied to the PC to signify this.

If you've only done an install during repairs or otherwise, then you'd need to install retail Win7 and provide the customer with the COA by law, and the disk as a courtesy.

Are you getting your question answered now? What is the question exactly??

I was just wondering how risky it is installing an ISO version of Windows activated. That's all , and yes my question has been answered. I have decided that I am going to continue following the rules.

It shouldn't be risky at all. If you're doing this for a customer and they're paying you for it then you should provide the COA sticker. For OEM attach it to the machine, for retail give them the packaging with COA sticker and disk.

I still don't know what rules you're asking about. But those are the ones which seem to apply.

Most of the Q & A are in the Guide, in post 2.

Right, very useful Ray. But I also saw his reply to it which confounded things.

    Microsoft said:
A new Windows license is not required for a refurbished PC that has:

    (1) a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for a Windows operating system affixed to the PC, and
    (2) the original recovery media or hard-disk based recovery image associated with the PC.

The COA constitutes proof that the PC is licensed for the version of Windows named on the COA and the
    refurbisher can use either:

    (1) the original recovery media or
    (2) the original hard-disk based recovery image to re-install the operating system software named on the COA.
If the refurbisher does not have the original recovery media, they may be able to obtain the recovery media from
the original manufacturer of that PC.
A new Windows license is required for a refurbished PC if:
    (1) the refurbisher cannot obtain the original recovery media or
    (2) the PC does not have a hard-disk based recovery image.
Then, the refurbisher must purchase a new license in order to deliver a genuine Windows operating system
    experience with the refurbished PC.

I want your thoughts and opinions lol.

I actually forgot that there is the windows activation number on the Computer towers , so I believe it is legal to install the ISO version of Windows, weather that's Vista , 7 or 8. Since I would have the COA sticker on the tower.

    Now we're getting somewhere.

Follow the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which includes everything needed to get and keep a perfect install.

I would stick closely with the steps and ask back if you have any questions since you seem to be unclear on the basics.
