I need some help please.
I have vista business 32 bit but i have 7 home premium 64 bit full version. It wont let me install as its business to home - ok no problem i'll just format the hard drive. I try to format c: but as i have the system recovery hidden partition in there it wont let me.

ahhh, there's your problem, to do a clean install, boot from the disk, and do the format from the W7 CD, because "system partition is not allowed to be formatted" , your trying to format Windows while its currently being used.

You might want to create recovery disks from that recovery partition first so you have a free path back to Vista since you own that license for the life of the machine. Then boot the Win7 disk, delete and format all partitions. If by chance the recovery partition is an EISA which won't delete, google diskpart commands to override delete.
ok im a bit thicki put my 64 bit in the drive but it says its not compatible as i have business and i want to efectivly downgrade to home
You can download an ISO image of GPARTED, which is a bootable CD. Set the BIOS to have your CD/DVD Drive to boot first and then you can go in a eliminate partitions and resize, then format them to NTFS. It's a LINUX based software but run on a RAM drive it sets up when booting up.
Then put in your Home Premium 64bit DVD and boot up from it.
You can also just put the Home Premium disk in the drive and boot from it first by pressing "any key" when prompted on initial bootup. Then you can re-size and re-format the drive or partitions. It's a good idea to dedicate a separate partition for the PAGE FILE. Windows likes it better that way.

I'm thinking that is caused due to the 32bit-64 bit change 32 can't read 64bit code respectively.
Is your computer x64 based processor? Did you run a Windows 7 Compatibility Check? (Free download software from Windows 7 website.)
EDIT: I see your computer is an Athlon X64 CPU. You're going to have to install the the Windows 7 OS as a BOOT setup, not from Windows Vista.
Be sure to set the BIOS to have the DVD drive as the first bootable device and then follow screen prompts.
