With dual load, how to delete the Linux partition

I have Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu, dual load configuration.
I want to delete the Ubuntu partitions and have just Windows 7.
I am concerned that at this time, GRUB2 is controlling the load sequence and if I delete the Ubuntu partitions I will not be able to load Windows 7, because the mbr has been altered.
I need to know how I can restore the mbr and safely delete the Ubuntu partitions.
    Thanks
    James

Do you now have System Recovery Options on F8 Advanced Boot Options?

Moving or restoring the Win7 boot files by marking the target partition Active and then running Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times is the only way all boot parameters are tested and repaired. All other methods leave out important aspects like System Recovery Options on F8.
