Installed 32 Bit On Accident

I accidentally downloaded the incorrect student version from Digital River. I meant to go with the 64 bit but installed the 32 bit. I'd already done the install before I realized my error. I contacted Digital River and they are refunding my money for the 32 bit purchase. I have since purchased the 64 bit version but can't figure out how to install it. I'm getting an error message when I try to do the install. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm pretty confused right now.

What error message are you getting? And at what point are you getting it?

Here is the error message I get when I click on the .exe file:

Unloading The Box

We are unable to create or save new files in the folder in which this application was downloaded. Please check the folder properties to make sure that you have security permission on the folder to write files and that the folder is not read-only.

I wasn't doing a clean install (or hadn't planned on it). I can't figure out how to burn the ISO file to create a bootable disc.

I read a couple places that said that deleting and re-downloading the student files may fix the error. I'm going to try that and see what happens. Thanks for your help. I'll be back later if I have further issues (which I'm sure I will)...

Are you using an Upgrade version of the software, and did you activate the 32 bit version? Or, do you have a way to reinstall a qualifying OS if you need to?

This is the student upgrade version which I downloaded. I already activated the 32 bit version and I don't have a way of reinstalling Vista. Is this going to be a major issue?

I was finally able to burn the ISO file to a DVD but now I can't get my PC to boot from the DVD. Any suggestions?

Did you set the BIOS to boot from the DVD first?

You can also hit F12 (or another key, depending on you computer) to get 'boot options' during the initial start up. It will usually show on your screen. You may need to hit the key repeatedly.
