    I set it to boot from the DVD but got the following error message:

    Windows Boot Manager

    Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause...

    It sounds like the DVD you burnt wasn't burnt 'bootable' - what app did you use to burn the DVD?

    That error message is coming from the bad installation on the HDD and not from the DVD itself.

    I did one with the built in Windows software and one with IMGBurn. Neither of them was bootable.

    When I try to boot I'm getting the following error message:

    Windows Boot Manager

    Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

    1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language settings, and click "Next."
    3. Click "Repair your computer."

    If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

    Status: 0xc000000f

    Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

    ENTER=Continue ESC=Exit
