    windows 7 home premium cannot complete installation, ???? help please


    hi, i have an hp desktop. had a system crash and tried to reload windows home premium. installation comes up ok, and i have chosen custom. done this at least 20 times over 3 days, changing bios for booting order and everything i have been able to find in the forums.

    i still cant get it to complete.

    32-bit, original disk

    please help

    In which step of tutorial you get stuck? What happens exactly then?

    hi, it is an hp and i just installed again and on advanced driver thingy said to format the d:recovery drive, installation did the registery update,some file thingys, and then rebooted itself and now is hanging again. it was all just after that completing and three dots ... according to some things i have read on here having an hp with a d:recovery, is a problem so i was trying to get rid of it by formating that partition to get a clean install ????????????

    it keeps going to black and white screen that says windows failed to start, .............restart your computer .
    cant carry on installation in safe mode, wont even go into safe mode, and wont start or repair when starting windows normally
    just keeps looping and hanging

    i am starting installation again from scratch, i will ask u what to do on the screen that shows the partitions......just hold on a bit

    Boot from win7 install dvd and do the shift+f10 trick Command Prompt at Startup

    Code:
    diskpart
    list  disk
    exit
    how many disks do you see. What is disknumber of physical disk you want to install win7 on?
    You want to get rid of all partitions on that disk?

    ok, have gone past language screen and said start installation
    clicked accept terms
    gone to custom advanced screen, now i have partition 1 and 2, .............1 is system 21.8 gb, and 2 is primary 5.8gb

    ah hah, i deleted those partitions in the install screen now i have Disk 0 unallocated space, it may for now

    it is now installing again, will see if it hangs at end again after that completing installation and three dots place
