    Windows 8.1 System Reserved space

I have a laptop with Windows 7 x64. I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 soon. My current capacity of System Reserved partition is 100MB. Will it be enough for Win 8.1 or will I have to delete that partition and merge it with C drive so that Windows 8.1 can create a System Reserved space as it wants?

Thanks. But I'm not asking about 8.1 system requirements. I'm asking about how to deal with 7's System Reserved partition of 100MB.

Well mate I see you started another thread and well that is very confusing to be honest and not really the thing to do.

But personally I would have wiped the drive got an OEM of that 8.1 you wanted and just installed but heck you have got some answers in the other thread now. Why didn't you start in the 8 forum??

A 'fresh install' consists of formatting the disk and if you're uncertain on the installation procedure, delete* the (old) System Reserved Partitions along with the Windows 7 partitions and click new. It will generate the partitions automatically and there shouldn't be any reason to adjust the size of the System Reserved Partition as it calculates how large it needs to be itself.

(* Deleting the partitions will result in your data being illegible. I'm sure you're fully aware of this but I say this as a precautionary measure and not an insult.)

If still uncetain view this tutorial: Windows 7 Fresh Install. (It's the same as the Windows 8 installer.)

    To clean install:
    1) Clean the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:
