    Invalid product key


    Hi all,

    well i have a problem here.. i just bought the Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade 32-bits edition..
    well everything went fine..
    and when i was at the "Enter product key screen" the key that i am entering is INVALID????????????????
    like wth..
    i tried it for 30 minutes..
    someone els tried is also i thought im missing a letter when typing..
    but no.. still wont work..
    this realy is sorry but F**kt up..

    what can i do?

    yeah i will .. but i still dont get why they put a invalid key at the box its MICROSOFT the biggist SOFTWARE companny there is.. they shouldnt make mistakes like this!!

    what OS were you upgrading from? was the version you purchased upgrade or full? which version is it (ult, pro, home, etc)

    i had the choice to upgrade or clean install i went for clean install.., im using it on a clean HD , version Ultimate 32 bits as in the thread said.

    If you an upgrade version, you need to select upgrade. It sounds like you are trying to use an upgrade key for a non-upgrade install.

    okej.. but the problem is.. that i cant upgrade annymore from my "current" OS because i deleted his partition TO install windows 7 CLEAN....

    First, you can clean install from an upgrade disk. ref here Clean Install from Upgrade Windows 7 version but that doesn't explain why the key doesn't work. can you clip and paste it? I get the feeling there is something simple that we all are overlooking.

    the key is 25 numbers in groups of 5 correct?

    yeah group of 5 x 5 .. but i aint typing it wrong.. i know.. i treid it so manny times.. even reinstallt whole win 7 again.. but still wont work
    but i aint telling the key here ..

    Any chance you are misreading one of the letters or numbers. K or X, 0 or O, I or 1, 2 or Z and maybe others.
