    Lost power on install!

Ok. I was installing windows 7 when I was almost complete and the power went out in the house from a storm. I tried reloading windows and it went back to install and said because it shutdown I had to restart to reinstall and it did and still gives me the same message. I did a upgrade and I dont want to loose the information is there something I can do?

If you did an Upgrade from Vista and the power went out..You might have lost you data..

Can you reinstall Windows 7??. By putting the disk back in the DVD drive (when the computer boots)..and when the Install begins again click Upgrade..I would try that and have it install again..

But if that does not work you would have to a Clean Install by Clicking "Custom" instead of Upgrade.. and you would lose all of your data..

    Sorry..and I Hope this Helps..

Can you try a re-boot in Safe Mode with the F5 or F8 keys to see if you can get a menu for your previous OS or last known good configuration ?
