In one of your earlier posts, you said you deleted the HD partitions. So you may have messed up the HD. Therefore you may have to use Partition Wizard to clean up your HD, so the win7 install DVD/USB recognizes it properly.

Ok I'll try again and tell you exactly what happens. I went I to the bios and went to system configuration, then boot options, then boot order and hanged the order to : internal cd/DVD ROM drive, then notebook hard drive then USB cd/DVD ROM drive. Then saved and exited. I then pressed esc to get to the startup menu and when to boot device options and selected internal cd/DVD ROM drive. Then when it said press any key to boot from DVD rom drive I pressed enter. It said windows is loading files and it loaded. Then it said starting windows and the windows glowing logo came up. It took about a minute to load from there to the screen that says windows 7 language to install: English, time and currency format, and keyboard or input method. I selected English, english (canada) and us respectively then pressed next. It took me to the screen that says install now so I clicked install now. It said setup is starting... and began to load. Then a popup came up and said widows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer, so I pressed ok. It brought me back to the install windows screen. So I clicked install now again and got back to the setup is starting... screen. This took me to the listener terms screen and I accepted and pressed next. I then clicked custom advanced but it said no drives were found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation. What do I do? I am really freaking out now.

From your description above, yes it sounds like it is not seeing the HD, probably from the deleting of partitions. Please check out this tutorial.

Does the hard drive show up in the bios ?

I don`t understand why this is happening.

Windows has to see the hard drive to continue the install, it should show up after you choose the custom option.

You can delete the partitions after windows sees the hard drive, don`t worry about Partition Wizard right now.

How might I check the bios to see if the hard drive shows up? P.s. I followed this tutorial during initial installation: How to Reinstall Windows 7 - YouTube

Go into your bios and click on each tab across the top, one of them will show the hard drives you have connected and the dvd/cd drive. It will display the hard drive size in MBs, that should help you locate it.

It will be in the same list as the dvd drive

It could be under the boot tab. All bios are different but relatively the same.

Ok it should be connected since I was able to restart the installation. I started about 8 minutes ago. So far it is still at copying windows files 0%, I'll just have to wait and see if it's working I guess?
