This is a fresh install of windows 7. No other OS on the hard drive. Its a new hard drive. No multi booting. I dont know if its pre-formatted. SATA hard drive.

2 DVD roms. One IDE, One SATA. Problem occurs on both. Even when i have them plugged in one at a time.

windows 7 Home Premium OEM "x15-46008-01"
    64 bit

Got it from the computer store i bought all the other items from.

No over clocking of any kind. Factory settings from the motherboard.

Did i miss any information you need?

Thanks again for your time. I know it must be crazy as of now. With the release of windows 7. I understand that it might take a few to respond.

The second error code you posted looks like a RAID setup error

    Error Message: STOP 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf72ddc76, 0xf791e920, 0xf791e570)

In your bios setup make sure RAID is turned OFF

You only have 1 HD connected the way I read your info.

    I have several Hitachi 1tb SATA HD's , also nice drive !

    STOP: 0x0000001E (0xffffffffC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000BCE9E324, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF)

I have 2 sticks. 2GB a piece. I have tried to install with just one stick. Both alone and get same errors or it just restarts over and over again after Windows is loading files. "first install screen"

I have also tried to use my old memory. DDR2 "witch my motherboard also supports" and it wont even boot.

Thanks for all the help you have given me already.

ok... dont understand HOW or WHY...

But i put ONE stick of memory in Slot 4 and now i get past that part and am at the installing windows screen. "Part 2" Hope it goes well from here. I will let you know A.S.A.P when and if it completes. I hope this will help others in the same frustrating situation i was in for the past 2 days.

Doc thanks for the GREAT HELP... Your info on trying one stick is what lead to this.

    Thanks a million.

    streak,

Hang in there buddy, give it time, don't be too impatient.

Each beta test build has been different & with different hardware,

so probably will be the same with all the released new versions.

Hope you learn a lot more here at SevenForums
