Replacing primary HDD and installing Windows on it!

So hello guys, my question is quite simple. I have a WD HDD which is barely dead and i will replace it with a WD Caviar Black. My question is. I will totally replace the old one and won't use it. So i know how to connect it and how to clean install windows but is there sth more needed? i mean that: i will connect the new one then boot up and install windows from DVD and etc. Do i need to change sth through BIOS? I have a gigabyte 970-d3 MOBO.
If you are able can you mention me the exact steps i should follow with numbers pls?

As the Gigabyte 970-d3 has a UEFI/BIOS firmware.

Thanks for your replies all of you. My question was not about the windows installation. It was about HDD. Should i change anything in the bios regarding the HDD? Sth like booting up first from it and other things?
or i just go replacing the old one and then just installing win7?

Wow im totally confused xD Thanks for your time though.
So as i have done many formats on my current HDD and reinstalls of win 7 i have a quite small exp. So what i was doing all this time was booting up from win 7 dvd then formatting the HDD through the win 7 setup and then insalling the software. But as i can see from what you posted above there is more than this. To clarify can you tell me the exact steps i should follow? Like 1.Replace your HDD 2.Boot up your pc etc.
And if you want to know more about my situation: I want to replace my main HDD with a new one. Then install windows on it. I think you are able to number the steps i should follow

Theog thinks you have a UEFI mobo so if it's set to UEFI and not Legacy in BIOS you'd have to then boot the instaler as a UEFI device in the Boot order menu.

However if there is no UEFI, Legacy BIOS or CSM settings in BIOS setup then you don't have to worry about that because it means you don't have a UEFI BIOS.

Since you've done a bunch of reinstalls before that may be the case.

This time however I would stick with the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
to get and keep a perfect install. Once its set up save a WIn7 backup image so you never have to reinstall again. Since this feature is built into Win7 there is no reason you have to reinstall so much. Just reapply the image in 20 minutes.

Enter BIOS setup to check for any UEFI, LEgacy BIOS or CSM settings, then what your Boot Order Priority choices are. If none are UEFI then you have MBR BIOS can proceed with a normal Clean Install Windows 7.

Another way to know is if you boot your Win7 installer there will be UEFI choices which must be the ones used to install in UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums

Either way it is always best to delete all partitions during the booted Clean Install Windows 7
