    If you're unable to run the bootable diagnostics, you can also confirm the HD condition using Seagate Seatools CD or Partition Wizard bootable CD surface test

    Is the HDD detected in BIOS setup at all? If so what happens you run from the Win7 disk Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times?

    If the HDD is irreparable, google your PC model for replacement Hard drive and a video for how to remove and replace it.

    Then do a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is a vastly superior install to Recovery disks.
