Loading new hard drive trouble

    Weird thing is, the old hard drive comes up in the BIOS menu and it was corrupt, that's why I'm replacing it! That would mean my motherboard works right? I just went through a ton of troubleshooting on this forum with other people and it came out that they advised me to get a hard drive. I'm wondering if it's not compatible with my laptop, even though WD support says it's compatible with any windows 7 laptop.

    Try to run Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu

    You'll need to get the HD to show up in BIOS setup to Clean Install Windows 7
