problems restoring machine back to factory settings

    Where disk0 and disk1 already attached to system at the time you bought it? Quite unusual... 2 hard drives.

    A 465GB partition "recovery partition" is ridiculous... not a real recovery partition

    when i right click on them all i get is a help option. the option to change/assign drive letter isnt there.

    No I added a second hard drive hich was just used for storrage but it looks as though it has been wiped.

    Yes there was already a 500gb hd in but i added another 500gb hd later.

    So disk0 is something you added later?

    In Elevated Command Prompt
    Code:
    diskpart
    select  disk 0
    select  part 0
    detail part
    select disk 1
    select part 0
    detail part
    select part 1
    detail part
    exit

    yes to both when i did it with the 2nd hdd attached it just totally ignored it and left it alone.
