Trouble with reinstalling windows 7 using repair disk

I decided to wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything. So i have two sets of repair disks, and i have two disks in each set. Im using one of them right now. I dont know if this is how it's supposed to go,

Basically went through the language button and picked the first option to put it on the first partition (i just picked one option). Anyway so it loads up you have a desktop, and then when you get to the desktop its has cmd on and then it tells you that factory installation is going on dont touch it and what not. Then says configuring stuff and it restarts. And its keeping on restarting and doing that over and over again. Why isnt it asking for the second disk?, is it supposed to take this long?, did i do it wrong?, and should i try using the other set of disks instead?

Ps. I dont know if this means its working but the graphics are much better now even though it's still restarting and continuing to do that... does that mean its doing what its supposed to?

System still boots from harddrive?

I made the disks myself. The first was when it was brand new and it makes you make repair disk/back-up etc. The second was made some time afterwards like when it tells you to make a back-up. So essentially i have two sets, they were just made at two different points in time.

Second question-
i was gonna go about it through diskpart and select disk # and clear all, However i only had one disk# and it wouldnt let me. Soo i just put the repair disk in and hit F9-12 didnt know which it would be, anyway ran the repair disk. It said it would set it to factory settings. I think im just gonna wait it out guess i was being impatient and wanted it ta-ta-ta-Today Junyahh!!

The REcovery disks you made reinstall the factory bloatware which is a grossly inferior install of the best OS ever, larded with poorly written crapware and utilities that conflict with better versions built into the OS.

For that reason most tech enthusiasts prefer to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

My reinstall finished! (the original one not the one you mentioned ^). So it works. Its asking me to make another backup copy lol I have a curious question though... if it the backup disks were created as 2 of them why did it only use one to reinstall it....?

The other disk may have drivers and software on it. If you look through All Programs or Control Panel>Programs and Features and you don't see a bunch of Asus crapware then you may have gotten away with a cleaner Recovery than usual. You can check it over with Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

The standard for WIn7 is never hangs, bogs or slows on adequate hardware. If it does then I'd def do a Clean Install, which gives you the best WIn7 you can have.

It installed some stuff which are highlighted in orange like Asus utility, Best-buy, and Intel stuff...

So if i wanted a clean version do you what would be the best thing to do - reinstalling it like you said in the first post or cleaning the factory bloatware. Would be essentially the same thing? Or would reinstalling it just be more updated?

Cleaning up Factory Bloatware no matter how thoroughly will never equal a Clean Reinstall which if you stick with the steps ends up with a perfect install better than all others.

Even if completely successful Cleaning up Factory Bloatware will at most only regain about 80% of Windows 7's perfect native performance. There is too much insult to the OS by the poorly written crapware which on Asus is some of the worst, notwithstanding their excellent hardware.
