Hello, 2xg. Thank you for joining us. By assign static IP's I assume that is another way of saying I should set up a hardcoded IP address? Should I do this before bothering about : "- Verify that all your Network Services are Started from Control Panel and its Dependencies."
I opened Services. Did you want me to simply look and see if those Com + event etc. are listed or am I looking for other details within 'Services' ???
arayfo1, that post was made 2 hours ago, 2xg is not viewing the forum (look below the posting window to see who is viewing)
edit: never mind... I see you're just catching up on replying to posts.
but yeah make sure those service are running - you got it exactly right
I'm back arayfo1....and ALL.
Check all the Network Services first if they are all started before assigning Manual or Static IPs, sorry if I wasn't very clear.
We'll guide you with assigning the Static IP if needed.
FYI.... I'll be around for a little while now and won't be going nowhere, done running around and I'm resting.
Edit: Is there any ipconfig/all output posted here somewhere? I can't find it.
@Slartybart, your help is greatly appreciated and you're doing a good job. Thanks!

So for example I go into services and click on "• COM+ Event System (for WZC issues)". Then what do I do?
Should I just restart all that you listed?
• COM+ Event System (for WZC issues)
• Computer Browser
• DHCP Client
• DNS Client
• Network Connections
• Network Location Awareness
• Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
• Server
• TCP/IP Netbios helper
