Someone who has used Paul Thurott install method?????

Question for someone who has a legal copy/license of Vista or XP and has used Paul Thurott's method of installing Win 7 by using regedit to change a key and finishing up with slmgr /rearm from a CMD prompt.

This instruction, slmgr /rearm normally tells the computer to hold of activation for a number of days.

So what I want to find out for sure is " Are you really activated or just think you are??

To find out if your new Win 7 install is activated

    1. Go to 'Control Panel'.
    2. Click on 'System and Security'.
    3. Then click on 'System'.
    4. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the Windows activation details. This is where you will see if Windows is activated or not.

    Would like confirmation .

    Thank you.
