Disk boot failure

Since installing a new aaa dvd drive I get the disk boot failure. Please can anyone help all the connections are correct. I've tried putting the windows disk in and running the automatic repair but it hasn't fixed it.

Thanks in advance for any help

Remove and put the old drive in, does issue go away?

oXRUSSXo welcome to SevenForums. What happens when a disk is inserted, does the disk spin up? Do you feel or hear any vibration?

So you had a functioning old drive and upgraded to a new drive and now neither drive is working?

Check both power and data connections at both ends.

I have checked all the cables and they are all plugged in correctly. The disk drive will load the windows disk and the hard drive is there aswell. The only option I can find now is to reinstall windows but I don't really want to because the error could still be there after I reinstall it.
