    Cant Format Second Hard Drive, Bad Install?


    So I cannot format my secondary hard drive where Windows 7 RC was installed. Did I install Windows 7 incorrectly onto my system? I've posted a screenshot from my Computer Management window.

    Are you getting a specific error message when trying to format the secondary hard drive?

    Not sure> I suspect you installed correctly but that win 7 disk management is horrible. Are you trying to format so you can put another OS or for the space?

    No error. Just says cannot format it.

    And I just want it for space. Installing my apps and games to that drive.

    Solution
    I removed the second hard drive, left my RAID1 in and reinstalled Windows. Put the hard drive back in the system and everything was good again.

    I suppose because that second hard drive was where I had Windows 4 RC1 is why the system partition was located there.

I have a 500GB WD Blue Hard Drive doing nothing, so i decided to use it as storage instead to go buy a new Hard Drive, it currently was a boot drive with windows 7 professional on it, so i was wondering how could i completely format it and get rid of everything to use it as my secondary storage?

installing build 7264. mounted the ISO in magic disk and did custom installation. the only options is load driver and i see the partition but i can't format it. what to do?
