You shouldn`t have to do this but.......

Make and use a Partition Wizard Boot cd to set up the partitions on the new drive. If you want 1 large partition then just do that. Then install windows on that partition. PW never fails.

Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

Are you positive you are burning the iso file to the dvd properly ?

Use Wintobootic to put your iso file on the flash drive, it works perfectly.

WiNToBootic bootable usb drive windows vista/7/8 - Bootable USB | Bootable USB
I downloaded the wintobootic and no matter what ISO i try to mount it won't let me even the official ones from Digital River aren't working.

I also tried to take a stab at the cloning/partioning with EaseUS and once the partioning copy starts it hangs at 1% forever and I mean 2 hours ez so I cancelled it.

You must be doing something wrong, when you open wintobootic, do you choose the windows 7 iso, check format then do it, and it won`t burn the the iso file to your flash drive ?

Your flash drive is 4 GBs correct ?

UPDATE: I copied a fresh ISO from DigitalRiver to usb using Wintoboot and the error I am getting now is "unable to create partition". Again I will state the DiskPart commands did not work the CLEAN command throws an I/O error. Also when I delete the partitions that are showing during the fresh install where you pick destination drive, I pick NEW and then FORMAT and it says unable to format drive.

I ran every test available to me on my Seagate 1TB HDD and it passed every single without a hiccup. I am honestly tired of dealing with this new rig as it's the only one that I've built that has ever given me problems.

So you`re saying you successfully managed to put the Windows 7 iso file onto the flash drive ? And you can boot from the flash drive ?

And delete the partitions down to unallocated space like in this shot, then just click next.

alrighty as it turns out the hot swap bays on my Obsidian 800D were bad. I connected the drive directly to the board without any kind of bridge and install went smooth as butter. Thanks for all the help though maybe I should've tried that first...oh well.
