Windows 7: Moving System Reserved partition to a different drive

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't seem like it'll matter for much longer, I just looked at my OS drive with HD Tune and it seems like it has a Current Pending Sector error... Looks like a new drive is in order, I'll just have to make sure to connect it to the Disk 0 sata port when I install.

My solution for this problem is to copy the bootmgr to C. That is the easiest and fastest solution.

Hi I have an issue unusual but I suppose usual for the intel q965 platform and ide mode. I'm running a Sil 3114 4-port on IDE bios to get it to work on the HP DC7700.

Anyway this is how it looks and does the reserved partition need to be before c: or is it okay to have it after? By creating a 100MB partition on c: after since you can't move the partitions before being c: windows. Then just copying the partition system reserved to the new 100MB partition I created on the windows drive?

Please attach your Disk Mgmt screenshot using the paper clip icon in reply box.

Is there some reason you didn't want Bootmgr on C or couldn't move it there following tutorial two posts above?

Well it was super easy, booted to Hiren's 15.1 v2 with Acronis Disk Director. Simply resize C: giving the required 100.0MB before and not after. Copy, Apply, Done and Done.
