Currently i'm on my laptop installing windows 7on my desktop right now you told me to delete System reserved which i did i hope that i can install it.
When did the system reserved partition show up?
When you were just now creating partitions, did it show up then with a message that "Windows will create a 100mb partition..."
Or was it already on the HDD when you first went into Custom install and chose Advanced tools? Is that when you deleted it.
If it wanted to create it fresh when you were creating your partition to install Win7, then it should not have been deleted then, nor should it have allowed you to.
yeah doesn't work still stuck on the Dmi pool data screen. damnit....
Umm i went into windows 7 i deleted the partition then made a new one on windows 7 installer then deleted the system reserved(100mb) drive.
OK my suggestion above said to boot from installer, chose Custom, then Advanced tools, then Delete all of the partitions shown, then Create one big partition, then format that partition.
The 100mb partition should not have been created if you created one big partition, which is why I suggested it.
It may still start up. You'll know soon. If not, we need to do it over or run Startup Repair to rewrite the boot into Win7's partition
Ok, boot from the installer, choose Repair my Computer and run Startup Repair then reboot. Repeat twice.
Didn't work tried that 3 times already just to make sure... but still stuck on the same screen
Boot from the installer and install again and this time don't delete the 100mb partition if installer wants it.
We need to know if a clean install can overcome this error. Deleting the 100mb after installer set it up during Create was a mistake which needs to be redone.
Then if it won't start up, I would call MS at the number on the disk.
Alright thanks for trying to help me.
No prob, I am researching the possible bios lock issue now.
check over this to make sure it is what you are doing:
Clean Install Windows 7
