    Not enough free space?

My laptop is a Dell L702x (XPS). I had to start all over because of a file permission issue. I have the factory installation disc with Win 7 Pro 64. When I get to the stage where I select the drive to install on, I always get an error telling me the installation cannot proceed because the selected drive does not have enough free space. I have formatted the drives. No help. I have deleted the partitions and allocated them again. No help, same error. One drive is a 250GB SSD and the other is a 500 GB HDD. I cannot install Windows. Now what?

I figured it out. There was an extra partition on each drive. Each was small (~100 MB). I deleted both of those partitions and then reallocated the space on each drive and now Windows is installing.

Didn`t you see those partitions ?

You said you deleted all the partitions ?

Glad you got it going though

I didn't think a 100 MB partition would prevent Windows from installing on a 250 GB drive. It was the remaining partition that I formatted and then deleted and reallocated once again.
