    Windows can't install.

Hey guys i'm having some problems installing windows 7 x64 on my brothers laptop.

    It's a toshiba satellite c855d-172.

I can't press next, when i choose a partition. Any idea why?
It says the disk is a GPT-type. What is it and how do i change it?

    Thanks

Format old disks. Then try! :)

Yes, Format means everything on them disks will be erased.
If you have anything you want to keep on them, back them up. Or move them to a memory stick.

If it's a GPT disk then you need to install to UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums.

Or if that gives you problems you can Bypass UEFI to Install WIn7 normally to an MBR disk.
