    Reinstall crashes at Completing Installation

Had been having problems with the onboard graphics so decided to install a graphics card. Powered up the computer after putting the new card in n instead of booting into Windows it hung at Windows start up screen. Tried everything I could think of n find to fix it, but nothing worked so in the end just decided to reinstall Windows (I've done a couple of reinstalls on this comp before n never had a problem.) Now I'm really stuck because the install crashes at Completing Installation no matter what I try (took the card out, unplugged everything except mouse n keyboard, etc) nothing works!! Help!!

Hello and welcome cattem mate some system specs please it is absolutely necessary before we can help. System Info - See Your System Specs

It sounds like a driver problem to me but one thing you can do is run these first in safe mode if you can get into that.

Are you sure the card is compatible with your board? Double check with the card support.

The card is likely faling to load its driver, so see if you can disable it in Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation

Of course you'll need onboard video in order to do this. Did you look in BIOS setup to see that the new card is selected correctly?
