    Clean Installing Windows 7

I have the upgrade DVD of Windows 7 home premium. Can I boot from the DVD, make a partition change on my computer, do a clean install, and use that license key? Or do I have to start the install from within Windows (not booting from DVD)?

The upgrade DVD is the exact same DVD as the RTM and retail versions. You can manage partitions if you select the custom install option. You should have no issues with installing and activating.
