    Oh OK.
    My next line of attack was to boot into Safe Mode and run a system restore to before the updates.
    However, too late.
    For Back Up try Macrium Reflect free.
    There are tutorials on how to use here.

    Really, why didn`t you do that before you reinstalled ???

    Or boot from your install dvd, click repair your pc, then choose system restore.

    It would not boot into safe mode, and system restore didn't work-
      My Computer
