You can go ahead and try running that Update to see if it helps. But be sure to read the instructions carefully and guard against a power failure when applying it. Failure of a BIOS update can ruin the motherboard.

Otherwise Default Settings sounds like a Reset to Defaults for BIOS. If you highlight the choice it should tell you in the text at the right what it does. Otherwise read your Manual at http://www.toshiba.co.uk/innovation/...jsp?service=UK

Confirm that you have enabled Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) and then installed all Important and Optional Updates except Bingware.

Also please follow the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums to capture your crash data and other information which will be needed by our crash analysts so they can trace the driver or other cause of the crash.

Only the blue windows screen with my name below the windows picture and the box asking for my password ! I tried it again. Shut down . Pressed f2 and no bios settings ... Just the same blue windows page !!!

    Hi. :)

Click on the button below ....

It will download the DM log collector. Right click on the application and run as administrator. It will generate a .zip file on your desktop. Upload the .zip.

Work with Archie on your crash dump analysis as he may be able to pinpoint the cause more specifically.

As to why the other HD is not showing up in Explorer, it may be that you Cleaned it and it is not partitioned yet. Check in Disk Management. Partition or Volume - Create New.

This is why I repeatedly warned you to make sure you were cleaning the correct drive, judging by size and space used.

If the drive was only cleaned using Clean command and not Clean All there is a simple undelete procedure that will work if you don't format over it! Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help.

Just attach the .zip file it creates using the Paper Clip icon in reply box.

If the data drive was only cleaned using Clean command and not Clean All there is a simple undelete procedure that will work if you don't format over it! Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help.

Check in Disk Mgmt to see if it is shown as Unallocated Space which would mean it was Cleaned. If it was not cleaned and still shows as a partition then it may only need to have a drive letter assigned to show up in Explorer: Drive Letter - Add, Change, or Remove in Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums

Please post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image.

You may need to scroll down in the bottom pane where it shows a map of your drives. One drive should be the DVD, possibly card readers, another should be the data drive. Is it still partitioned? Rightclick to Add a drive letter.

If it is Unallocated Space do not format it! Run Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help.
