Clean Windows 7 SP1 Install Fails First Reboot - What to do?
Okay, I'm trying to install Windows 7 Pro SP1-U 32-bit onto a formatted but unallocated C drive/partition using a full official SP1-U DVD. Everything worked smoothly through the point of the first automatic reboot, but I have a basic question:
Windows did NOT tell me to remove the DVD first. Are you supposed to keep the DVD in the drive and let it reboot from the DVD again? Or are you supposed to remove the DVD and boot from the hard drive at that point?
It sure would be nice for Microsoft to tell you!!
(I initially had a longer question, but I've resolved everything myself. However, I'd still like the above basic question answered).
