Win 7 upgrade from Vista home Premium - not?

You can upgrade from Vista to 7, but it has to be an approved path.

Trust me - it's better to do a clean install than an in-place upgrade. Any problems you had with Vista will be present in 7. If you want to use x64, be my guest - but you have to verify that all of your hardware is supported under x64.

I sure thought Win & would upgrade from Vista. Now I have to reinstall all my apps again. And if I'm going to do that anyway I might just as well install the 64 bit version instead of the 32 bit I installed.

I have MS Office 2007 as well to reinstall. Does it work under 64 bit Win 7?

I cleaned installed, yesterday. I have Office 2007 and it works fine with 64 bit. Be aware, however you must give your license number, and if you have the original DVD to install from, you will be bombarded with updates over the next 24 hours. But, bottom line it does work without a problem

I just had another thought. I bought my computer from Dell with Office installed. I used their reinstall disc to reinstall Office. I do not think that there is an Office for 64 and another for 32 bit, But, I just wanted to bring this to your attention.

Quick note, Office 2007 is 32bit but works perfectly on 64bit.

64 bit is the way to go, you'll like it.

Win office will work with no problem. It will go in your Program files (x86) folder.
