Can't Install Windows 7 on 2nd HDD

    Can't Install Windows 7 on 2nd HDD


    I have two 250GB HDD and 1 40GB HDD and I have XP installed on a partition on my first HDD and was wanting windows 7 to be install on a partition on my 2nd HDD but for some reason it doesn't like this and show this error message.

    All I can say is make sure that the partition is primary and formatted with NTFS.

    Thanks, I'll see if I can get it to change to primary somehow.

    Click Drive Options (advanced) and delete it.

    Then create and format.

    Install onto it.

    No, your XP partition on that disk is listed on the line below.

    You need to use Advanced Tools to Delete, create and Format so it has something to install on.

    It needs a Primary (not Logical) formatted partition to install Win7.

    It needs a Primary (not Logical) formatted partition to install Win7.
    And needs to be set to active if using partition wizard:)
