    Gigabyte LAN

Are you able to confirm if this is a Gigabyte LAn Card?
If so go to the Assus support site and dowload the specific driver for your card. Assus has started rolling Windows 7 specific drivers and chipset updates.

Using the hardware id string(s), google for a newer driver. Doesn't have to come from the manufacturer of your hardware. Could come from anywhere as long as string is same.
