Clean install without losing Intel Matrix Config

I have a Vista Ultimate 32bit machine, where I run RAID5 Intel Matrix Storage for my Data disks. The actual OS is not in a RAID config.

I plan to upgrade to Win7 64bit, but would like to have a dual boot option, were I can access my RAID5 disks independent on which OS I booted up.

    I.e.

    Disk 0: Partitions 1 Vista 32 / Partion 2 Win 7 64
Disk 1-6 (5x500GB RAID5) 2TB Intel Matrix Storage Data Disk

    Q1: Is this actually possible?
Q2: Can I do clean install on partition 2 of the disk0 without losing the RAID

    Q1
Is the RAID set up from the Bios or OS?

If it is set up from the bios you should be OK.
If it is set up from the OS i'm not sure what would happen.

    Q2
Depends on your setup, is the raid array already partitioned?

The RAID is set up from the OS (Vista) by use of the Intel Matrix Storage GUI.

The Disk 0 which currently hold the Vista OS is not in the RAID configuration. It's a simply disk on SATA channel 0.

The RAID is on SATA channel 1-5.

The mobo is a Asus P5K3 with ICH9R
