Windows 7 SP1 installation on clean SSD Problem.

I am trying to set up windows on a Crucial M500 250GB SSD.
I have a ASRock P67Extreme6 which has Uefi.

I boot from a USB drive containing windows 7 SP1(it should). When i try to install it gives me "Setup was unable to
create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition" Im sure you know this.

    What i have tried:
I have gone trough this setup about 10 times with different variations.
    Setting up manually in cmd.
That includes going to diskpart, selecting disk,
    Clean/Clean all (both)
Create Partition Primary and Create Partition Primary align = 1024
    format fs=ntfs
    active

Im starting to think that windows just doesn't recognize the SSD(maybe not SP1?). How can i tell ?

edit: w8 works but i'd still like w7, any ideas?
    Thanks

Work through these steps for Overcoming Windows 7 Installation Failures - Windows 7 Help Forums

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the disk or flash stick yourself? How? Try another.

The error most often pertains to the UEFI settings in BIOS. If you want UEFI you must boot the installer as a UEFI device, and UEFI must be set to boot first and enabled in BIOS setup. If UEFI presents too many problems as it can I would advise Bypassing UEFI to Install WIn7.
