cannot install win7 64 on uefi system

Hello guys 1st post but i think this site may be able to help me out. I have been in IT for 17 years but i must admit this has me stumped. I have tried with Windows dvd and also I created a 64bit usb. Same issue with both, I have followed the steps for fresh install on uefi. It will load the 1st part fine, when it reboots to finish the windows install it comes up with the black windows boot manager Window saying unexpected error. If I try to do a Windows repair it says it cannot repair. It says failure during setup.

If I try to install via legacy mode it installs fine, but I want to use uefi because I'm using a 3tb drive and in legacy mode I lose to much space of unusable drive.

I have asus z87a mb, I have tried with secure boot on and off. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.i have spent 3 days jacking with this. I may try to use smaller drive see if it works. ..I dunno at this point.
    Thx

Secure Boot is only for Windows 8 so it must be turned off. Then if you have CSM test whether it needs to be enabled to install Win7. If not look for Legacy BIOS or Legacy Boot. Showing us camera snaps of all related settings showing expanded choices can help a lot - attach files using paper clip in reply box.

Are you booting the media as a UEFI device and deleting all partitions to install? Try the other steps in Overcoming Windows 7 Installation Failures including downloading a new installer ISO and writing to stick with Option One of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows.

Thank you for your reply. . Sorry I'm so short but I am having to use my phone to post so it's not exactly fun to type lol.
I have tried with secure boot disabled still same issue.i have tried 2 different install dvd's as well as 64bit usb. I have used diskpart to clean drive, convert to gpt and let windows format as well as using diskpart to set up partitions. Still have not been able to install. I have set bios to default and disabled secure boot, made sure I had it set to boot uefi. I have the latest bios update. I have also tried csm auto and enable. Your saying I need to have legacy boot St to install uefi?

Are you booting the DVD's and stick as UEFI devices in Boot Menu?

Where did you get the ISO and how were they burned? Have you yet tried a fresh ISO burned with tool from Clean Reinstall tutorial in my signature pic below?

Can you post back camera snaps of the UEFI -related settings choices in your BIOS? Expand so we can see all choices for each and include any you're unsure of - which may be all of them if necessary.

Legacy Boot is normally if you want to bypass UEFI. You'll know its set to UEFI if your devices are shown as UEFI bootable, and Legacy if they aren't. But this is providing the installers are burned correctly from intact ISO's which is never a sure thing in these cases.

Well I have tried to upload some pics but get errors. I did something I have not tried. I unplugged every drive except the drive im installing to, I also set every option in bios I could find to uefi only. It worked! Windows installed. .but weird thing is when I shut down and reconnected all drives back it does same thing. I will try to attach pics and mess with pc

The first step in tutorial is to unplug all other drives during install. Which others did you ignore?

Another drive must be blocking boot. Figure out which by process of elimination

Unplug all other drives was the only one i ignore.. Never had issue before with drive connected. I will try one at a time till I figure out which one is blocking the boot.

As soon as i try to add any drive I cannot boot. If I unplug the drive it comes back to bios, if I restart again I cannot boot to anything.i actually had to pull cmos battery to even boot to bios. Once I do and reboot I have to run system repair and it tells me system files have been changed. I'm about to just disable uefi boot legacy and just live with loss of hdd space on 3tb drive. I have never had such issues trying to install an os.

I'm running sfc scannow see if it can fix it.

Well sfc scannow fixed the boot and now once again it boots to os. What could be causing it to break when I try to add back my hdd's. I have had this up and running once before and it didn't give me all these headaches. Completely new system build 4 months old.i also have a image of prior system configured with uefi and all drives that I am unable to apply.
