Remove RAID when doing clean install of W7, Boot from SSD

    Hi All,
I'm planning on doing my first clean Windows 7 install. My laptop came with RAID built in, and I want to get rid of it as part of the clean install. I'm not sure how to go about that.

Also, my laptop has a 500GB HDD and a 32GB SSD. Windows is installed in such a way that it boots from the SSD and so starts extremely quickly. I'm guessing that that requires some extra configuration during the clean install.

Lastly, I have a UEFI motherboard, and I was wondering if the install process when doing a clean install using UEFI is different from a normal clean install.
Thanks for your answers in advance!

What type of RAID do you have? Is this MSATA? If so follow these special steps to Install Windows on MSATA (SSD) Drive - Windows 7 Help Forums.

In addition look over the steps for Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which compile everything that works best to get and keep a perfect install based on tens of thousands we've directly helped do here.

How would I figure out what kind of RAID I have? Where would I see if my SSD used an MSATA connector?

Just folllow the steps in both blue links and you'll see how/if the MSATA ones apply.
