    Install/Repair ?

I've done a few of these but somehow manage to still get screwed up.
Gateway AIO Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1
I thought my iso was fairly new, GRMCHPXFRER, but I'm getting the "Windows is more current than..." on the Compatibility check.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks, Pete

Never heard of that ISO. Where did you get it?

Most here use ISOs from Digital River.

Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit English is 57997.iso, if I recall correctly.

Are you trying to do a clean install?

You must be trying a Repair Install if you are getting a Compatibility Check. . You'd want to be booting the disk to delete all partitions if you're reinstalling.

Try the latest ISO for your licensed version with SP1 burned to disk with tool from Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 for either operation.

If reinstalling you'll get and keep a perfect install to the exact extent you stick with the tools and methods in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    Thanks, guys

Yes, I'm doing a Repair/Install using Brinks great tutorial.
Didn't think it would make a difference but it did.
Downloaded the latest iso from Digital River and its a go.

BTW, the iso is x17-57997.iso but when you read it on the CD/DVD drive it shows up as GRM....something.
The latest one is different from the one I first posted.
